Origins in Antiquity
The roots of Nadi Astrology stretch back thousands of years. It is believed to have been composed by great Hindu sages (Maharishis) such as Agastya, Bhrigu, and Kaushika, who possessed divine consciousness. They documented the destinies of souls to guide them towards spiritual and material fulfillment.
The Tanjore Connection
During the British rule, many of these precious manuscripts were gathered and preserved in the Saraswathi Mahal Library in Tanjore (Thanjavur), Tamil Nadu. The Maratha king Serfoji II played a significant role in conserving these astrological texts, ensuring their survival for future generations.
